David is an experienced Managing Director and Director and uses his 15 years marketing and sales experience to develop profitable, customer focused businesses. As a Rowan Director, he leads Rowan's Marketing department and Service development programmes. He also developed the Top-Line Performance Improvement FrameworkTM which, for the first time, demonstrates the inter-dependencies along the entire sales and marketing process. David has held a number of key marketing and business development positions across a range of industries including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Verisign, BT and Yellow Pages. As the marketing lead for the Performance Improvement division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, David developed and marketed a new service offering, generating over £1 Million in new revenues in 9 months. He also increased the effectiveness of the marketing department by refining operational and knowledge management processes, introducing financial controls and ROI tracking procedures, and introducing inter-departmental reporting. David has considerable experience in international marketing and overseas trade. At Verisign he managed the company's transition from a global monopoly to a competitive leading player in a liberalised industry. He built a European marketing function, developed a reseller and VAR channel partner programme, and managed a $7m budget to triple customers and revenues and retain 40% market share in what fast became a commoditised product environment. |
